AC Question

recovery using adb sideload

How can I recover a bricked device using adb sideload? I have no other adb connection since I can boot only into recovery. I think writing my backup to system partition would suffice.

I have backups of system.img, data.img and cache.img. How can I write these to the device using adb sideload? Do I have to create custom zip files with custom install-optional.sh and the partition backup image? What should be in the script?

Where can I get a useful boot.img for arm v7? (it's a Denver - Onda tablet). Do I need one? Can it be extracted from the TAQ_10133onepartition.img for the whole flash (I assume that's what the image is, since I bricked it by writing it to /dev/block/nandd, i.e. system partition). Theoretically I need only to write my backup to system. I also executed wipe data and cache by executing factory reset. (I do have backups)

Once I can boot the device properly I intend to flash the factory image using the recommended tool. But for the moment I have only 'adb sideload'

Re: recovery using adb sideload

Good luck with flashing the files back to the device.
