You probably won't notice any significant change, unless you have a lot of other wireless devices in your house on the 2.4 GHz spectrum (like cordless phones) causing interference. The main benefit of 5 GHz is that it avoids that kind of interference, which may help increase your data transfer speeds somewhat. A major tradeoff, though, is that 5 GHz has poorer range than 2.4 GHz.
