How do I get my videos to play

When I video and then try to play my video, I get a message saying can't play video, how do I fix this?

Hi, welcome to the forums! There are several reports about this same issue. For most people uninstalling updates for Google + fixed the problem. Tell us how it goes for you.

It has to be more than+
It's in Google services somewhere.
If you don't even have +, how do you uninstall it?
I think the last update to Play store must have had the whole shebang included. I can uninstall the last update, and won't things update again on their own?
I do have automatic updates off.

I've got the same problem, but I don't have and won't use + on the phone. The last videos have been corrupted according to VLC Player. All the frames are there, and it's MP4 file format,

I can and have disabled +, hangouts on my phone. I'm not sociable and prefer using a computer rather than trying to type on the phone.
