How do I stop apps from waking up my android mini?

I have apps that keep waking up my droid mini at night. How can I get them to stop? Verizon messenger,FB and Yahoo are usually the culprits.

Try using an app called Greenify, it can be set to automatically force stop those apps and keep them stopped.
