Ridiculous transfer speed (PC to SDCARD)

-- whatever value this noobe salutation might entail...

I'm trying to copy a large 78 MBs file from desktop of my pc to sdcard of Samsung Galaxy s 7 and i only get 4,7 kb/ s of trf speed, ammounting this operation to 1 hour and 22 minutes -- what might be the cause of this obnoxious performance ?? My laptop is a top specs Toshiba and Samsung Galaxy S 7 being what is claimed it is, i consider this crippled performance another sample of discouragement to tinkerers candidates (myself) and/or habitual ones. But -- unless there's an acceptable reason for this unbelievable event -- i think it downgrades this so much laureated device, as S7 is ghostspreaded. I would appreciate if some kind, wise expert would grant me some possible explanation and/or workaround to improve this miser scene...

any chance your sd card is not what you thought it was? perhaps a counterfeit?

my write speeds are excellent so i'm not sure it's a phone issue....
