Question is will buying through Best Buy alter my Verizon plan in any way?

I am off contract at Verizon and wanting to upgrade my device. Through Verizon I can get the Note 5 for $33/Month. Best Buy it is only $149 total and seems like the much better deal versus increasing my monthly payment by $33+fees

Yep - the $149 price is for the 2 year contract. If you're off contract right now, it would lock you in to Verizon service for another two years.

Your bill shouldn't go up at all as a result.
