No space remaining on the drive and so would want to remove YouTube from the drive and install it on a new SD card with GBs of space. Followed google instructions... Nothing is happening

Hoping for informed guidance

The ability to move apps to the SD card has been getting phased out from all the recent versions of android.

Make sure all your photos, videos, music, and documents are stored on the SD card. (COPY and DELETE, do not MOVE them.)

For apps that use lots of data space (camera, GPS, maps, games) check the settings of the individual apps. Many of the better written apps will let you store their data on the SD card.

Which phone do you have? You might be able to format the SD card as Internal Storage to add to the free space available to install apps. However, this can be unreliable, since SD cards are prone to failure.
