How can I tell if my smartphone has a optical under display fingerprint sensor or ultrasonic? Samsung don’t specify for the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G on their product page. Will ultrasonic damage your hearing since it’s loud and high pitched?

Welcome to the forums. The Galaxy A53 comes with an optical FPS, leaving the ultrasound type only for the S series flagships. And no, an ultrasound FPS won't affect your hearing (or your pet's that is far more sensitive).

Ultrasonic finger print is available on high end Samsung and no you and won't get to hear it or a animal.
