Hi guys,

I don't know if this is the right forum for my question. I am experiencing an annoying issue with WiFi on my Nexus 7. Since day one it is running perfectly smooth but since this morning it actually is making me very angry. I have these Apps, Tasker and Llama. Llama is making sure WiFi is turned off between 11pm and 7am. For some reason I have to turn on WiFi manually. No issue with this. It has become a morning ritual by now.

But since this morning WiFi is acting really strange. It basically does something like this:

  • I turn on WiFi
  • It starts scanning
  • It finds the usual amount of WiFi spots
  • It starts connecting to my home WiFi network
  • It start verifying
  • It starts connecting
  • It starts verifying
  • It starts connecting
  • Its starts verifying
  • It finds less WiFi spots
  • It starts connecting
  • It start verifying
  • It finds only my home WiFi network
  • It starts connecting
  • It starts verifying.
  • It finds noting at all

I know the list above sounds weird. But that's basically what I see on my WiFi settings screen. Anyone knows what could cause my Nexus to bail on all WiFi spots?

I already shut down both Tasker and Llama and restarted my Nexus 7.

Thanks for any help.

Have you checked your Jellybean status? I got my upgrade to 4.2 a couple days ago, and you might have gotten yours. If so, you need to check if your two apps are compatible with 4.2. Try uninstalling them and see what happens to your WiFi.
