Leaving chromecast on

I know its Christmas and not many ppl are probably on the forums but is it OK to just leave it on all the time?

it should be ok. mine switches off when i switch off the TV

I tried it both ways & leaving it on all the time works better for me. When I had it powered by the TV (turning on & off with the TV) , it caused connection issues with my router/wifi.
