Phone Call Issue: Is This Normal?

(if it is, it's annoying...) OK, I make a phone call, then I hang up, but I want to make another call immediately. But I can't!! The phone is 'frozen'; I can't pull up the keypad, other contacts, or even use the back-a-screen function. Instead, I have to hit the 'Home' key, go to the home screen & then hit the phone-call symbol again to make another call.

Again, is this SOP for Android phones (this is my first one)? Unique to the Nexus 5/KitKat? Or is it something I can/should resolve via a setting-change or something?

Yaaa actually it is normal
All phones hav dis problem
Actually its not a prob
D thing is whn u hang up d call u cant call on other no.
Dis is bcz ders only one outgoin n incomin signal (dat signal is used up by ur hanged call)
U wld even notice dat if u answer a call ur mobile network disables
Dats also due to d above reason
N conference call is a different story altogether
Dont mix up both of dem
P.s :dis is a normal thing no need to panic
