Fort Worth, TX repair sure is taking awhile

Cracked my screen on Monday July1st.
Send it in two day shipping Tues July 2nd (understandably it's during July 4th holiday).
Call and make payment over the phone Thurs July 10th.
Here it is Wed July 16th and it's still listed as 'being repaired' (a solid 4 days being in 'phone being repaired').

I thought they simply grab a refurb out of the closet and send you one in exchange for mine? I guess not. I even called yesterday and she looked it up and said it was still being repaired.

After reading all the quick turn-arounds on the internet I'm disappointed the length of time it is taking. I'm set with an old Nexus 4 I had, but do miss the Nexus 5. Just a better phone all around for me.

Did they give an estimated time for repair?

"You will receive your repaired unit or refurbished unit within 7 to 10 business days from the date we receive payment."

So that's this Friday or next Wed. It's just that I've read where they call for repair payment and then turn around and immediately send a refurb within 24 hours and with the device arriving two days later at their door. Oh, well. I'm just being impatient.

There are several walk-in local places for me that does cell screen replacements in two days if you Google it. Now get a Nilkin 9H Hardness Tempered Glass Front Screen Protectors and it will greatly reduce your chance of breaking the screen again.
