Root unlock nexus 7 help

Following ragnaroks tutorial on youtube and everything going good....just can't push the "supersu.zip" file to my nexus 7. I've followed every instruction, the zip file is there in the nexus 7 folder that I downloaded.
I get an error device not found on computer and can't mount /sdcard/ on nexus 7

F it...tired of these tutorials always having different steps than what you encounter. Looking online, it looks like I need a different "super su" file than the one in the guide. Well at least I'm unlocked.

Looks around for the Nexus Tool Kit. It will make it cake.

Now I have too. Update won't install because of clockwork mod recovery!! So I'm stuck on 4.1 and no root. So either go through with process again or uninstall clockwork mod...ugh

I rooted my Nexus 7 and galaxy nexus using Wugfresh's toolkit v.1.5.2. It is easy and fast

Why don't you...

(1) Use Wug's toolkit to take you back to stock

(2) Take the update.

(3) Root that.
