Warning on Beats/XLouder audio incompatibility with dock

I, for the past few months, have been a happy user of the Beats+XLouder mod; it made the audio louder and, I think, crisper for my Nexus 7. I ordered a Nexus 7 dock (the official Asus one that uses the four connectors), received it today, and learned an unfortunate truth of the Beats+XLouder mod; at least for my Nexus 7, this mod led to me being unable to use the audio out on the dock. When docked, the Nexus would simply put out no audio (I tried multiple speakers and simply plugging my headphones into the dock, nothing). I also attempted to update to the most recent version of the mod to fix it, noting. My solution was to use the Nexus 7 Toolkit to flash the stock Google image of 4.2.2 back onto my Nexus 7: problem solved. I now am able to use the audio out on my dock. I'm not sure if this is a universal issue or if I just turned out to be unlucky. Is anyone else dealing with this? If so, I hope this helps.
