Now that Nexus 7 (2013) has been discontinued, do you think updates for Android will continue or 5.1 is the last one? What about apps in the PlayStore? I guess updates for them will continue, but what happens when they update them for compatibility for the Android after Lollipop? Will they still run on the Nexus 7, even if it is stuck on Lollipop?

I believe there will at least one more upgrade, since this is such a popular device. After that, they'll want owners to upgrade to the replacement device. Mo' money! Mo' money! Mo' money!

They haven't quit updating the 2012 Nexus 7, so no reason to think they're about to quit on the 2013 version.
