Nexus 7 performance

Hi,

Current Hisense Sero 7 is starting to struggle ...... not complaining been an amazing purchase for £69.

Struggling to get a modern 7" tablet so going back in time I keep coming back to the Nexus 7 2nd gen 2013 ...... some available on eBay.

Given it's age - how capable is it with some of the apps today ...... I'm thinking of some of the games like Sniper 3D, Real Racing & Iron Force ..... not bothered if they take a little time to load - so long as they're stable once loaded and do actually play without any lag.

Check out the Nvidia SHIELD tablet. Similar price, newer, better, similar size.

Games, especially newer ones, usually won't run on earlier devices. Not just loading speed, but API level (Pie is at 28, but Android Studio still isn't handling it properly yet), amount of RAM and a few other things. Even the Nvidia is over 4 years old, and runs (or should I say crawls) Nougat (API 24). By next summer, it will be about 6 API levels out of date. But if you can find one cheaply enough, it might pay. (The Nexus 2013 is limited to API 23.)
