How much do the V30 Display Issues worry you about the Pixel XL 2?

Well that's not true, I have three LG led monitors without the issue, have had TVs without it, etc. Also this only impacts the Pixel 2 XL if they have an actual issue and if it's the same panel and if they don't fix it.

No, it's true. Maybe not each individual TV, but it's a common issue with LG OLED TVs.

We'll know soon enough if it will affect them or not, But again, it probably won't matter for me . It sounds like a big issue for you , sorry to hear. Maybe go with the Note 8 - awesome display there for sure ...

I am quite looking forward to the XL2 actually.

I'd rather a great running phone with a good display than a good running phone with a great display. The pixel 2 display might end up with a few first gen quirks, but I'm fairly certain that the phone underneath it will run better than anything on the market and will hold that crown until the third gen Pixel drops.

Did the S7 Edge have a better display than the 6P? Yep... But which phone do I still own?

If I don't enjoy looking at the phone, I can't enjoy the phone. I can deal with average performance more easily than an average screen.

I can't buy anything for another month or two anyway. I plan on waiting it out to see what happens.

That's certainly valid and I can understand that preference. I have the opposite preference though. If only 1 of the 2 could be great (and the other just average or good), I would want the performance to be great.
