How do you get Google Assistant results to open in an actual browser?

For example, if I use Google assistant or the search bar on my home screen, any links I click on take me to a Google browser that isn't actually part of Chrome or another browser. I have to click on the menu and hit "open in Chrome."

This isn't that big of a deal, but it's a pain when I want to go back to something I searched easier. My natural instinct is to search browser history in Chrome - but it's not there since it was an internal browser.

The only way to get back to it is to hope that it's still in the recent apps task list....

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

you can view history for the Google app two ways. you can check the "recents" bucket in the Google app, and you can also click the extra menu and select my activity.

it'll show the stuff in there.

Yeah they don't make that a very easy setting to find. I have no idea why that would be a "privacy" thing... Glad to help.
