Cache Bulk Cleaning

I used to clean the cache buy holding down the volume down and side buttons simultaneously and turn off phone. Then hold vol up and side buttons simultaneously until phone showed Galaxy logo. Then menu contained "clear cache." Now menu doesn't show Clear Cache. Online research says need to connect phone to PC in order to clear cache. Is this the result of an update or am I not doing something correctly? TIA

I think Google removed it from recovery a long time ago. I think it was the Pixel 1? Samsung is basically catching up to that decision

Yep... Samsung removed the Wipe Cache Partition option from the Recovery Menu with the February Security Update.

Samsung supports A/B partition sono more clear cache in recovery and pretty much any Android with it.

I didn't realize this is the Samsung s22 forums which that model should have wipe cache in recovery (No A/B partition for them), try using a USB cable connected to the computer and go into recovery this allows full recovery menu.
