Hi, i am Guillermo Eiland
i am using pixel 2 xl. I've updated my phone and now the google assistant is not able to perform any function when it is offline. But before it was able to perform some task offline. is there any solution to this problem.

Maybe try a restart? As a quick test, I just put my Pixel 2 XL in Airplane mode (no mobile or WiFi) and typed to the Assistant to "lower sound volume". It responded right away with "OK", and lowered the volume.

I tried the same thing and set my Pixel 2 XL to airplane mode (no mobile or WiFi).
I did a "squeeze" and said "what's the current temperature?".
I got "Can't reach Google at the moment".
I turned airplane mode OFF and tried again and, of course, got the current temperature.
I agree with Trees, try a "restart'!

Temperature information is pulled from the internet, which is why that didn't work.

Any action that can be done on device, like setting alarms, reminders, turning on Bluetooth or flashlight, etc. Should be able to be done by Assistant without internet connection. If the action involves the internet, it's not gonna work.

Of course. I was just showing an example of what happens when you are connected to the Internet and when you aren't and how to make it happen experimentally by using airplane mode. I should have explained better what I was doing.
