Android Pie delay in screen response time

Since uploading and installing Pie yesterday there is a delay of a couple of seconds after logging on (Fingerprint) on my Pixel2XL before the screen responds to any gesture.

Anyone else getting this?

I thought it was MS Launcher but still have same issue after uninstalling it.
