Hello team! I need your help. I was wondering how to stop my Pixel 2 from automatic downloading, installing and notifing me about system updates and I NEED YOUR HELP
I know there are some ways to do this (from developer options/ disable system update OR disable notifications from google play services) BUT can yo please tell me (but if you know EXACTCLY) wich way is better for the phone and does not affect it at all ? Because i heard that if i disable the google play services notifications i may affect the way google apps work.
Please answer me if you have a pixel 2 and you did it one way and it worked because i need to know if it stopped for downloadinf, notifying, and installing it and if your phone has harm in a way or another.

TAHNK YOU VERY MUCH !!!

If you disable it in debug options, that's the system (ROM updates). If you disable it in play, that's app updates. Disabling one doesn't disable the other. So if you want to disable system updates, turn it off in developer options.

Thank you.anyway, the updates notification from play are on, just the auto update app is off but i do not receive any update available notification. Do you have any ideea

Disableing it from play i mean not to disable app updates. I mean to go to all aps, find google play services app, and disable it's notifications. Do you know this path and what does it do exactly?
Anyway....on my pixel 2 i do not receive at all app updates notifications. I have turned off only ,,auto update apps" from google play app.
Thank you

The update notifications come from Play, not from the apps being updated. But turning off "auto update apps" will stop them from updating, so you won't get notifications that they are updating.

long press Google play store app , to the right explanation circle then notification click what you want off or complete no notification. hope that helps
