Bluetooth keeps forgetting it is on

Every time I leave my house, this happens.

I get in the car, drive down the street, and notice my LG Watch Style is no longer connected to my phone. When I look at my quick settings, Bluetooth is greyed out as though it is off. Tapping the icon does nothing, and when I go to the actual Bluetooth settings page the icon is set to on but weirdly also greyed out.

Sometimes just going to the Bluetooth settings page is enough to "fix" whatever this is. The toggle switch changes color to blue and my watch reconnects. Other times I need to reset Bluetooth in order to reconnect to the watch. I'm only seeing this issue wth my Pixel.

Any thoughts?

Few questions:. Is the pixel on beta or a normal build? Do you manually connect to the watch and/or your PC or VR or any smart things via BT? Is Google competent at matching Bluetooth versions? Are you an awesome person?

Have the exact same thing with my Garmin vivosmart HR. I have to reconnect at least once a day.

Pixel is on normal build.

I do connect my phone to my Vive occasionally, but it's not connected right now. My car has a Bluetooth dongle in it, but I hadn't connected it because something on NPR had caught my attention.

I assume Google is reasonably competent at matching BT versions.

I am, most of the time, a fairly awesome person.

Screenshot of the madness in action. The Bluetooth toggle is in the ON position, but not lit blue. If I tap More Settings and go to Bluetooth, the connection will usually re-establish itself. If I don't do anything, the watch will remain disconnected.

There is another thread about bluetooth randomly turning off since the February security update. It sounds like the same issue. It still amazes me how poorly Google has handled bluetooth on the Pixels.

This is a bug with the Feb build. I opted for the Beta build last night due to this just to test if Bluetooth was fixed and it is, so I'll be using the Beta for now.

I have BT issues on my wife's pixel which is on stable but not on my XL which is on beta. You can try the beta and see if that solves it for you. If has no issues with beta so far.

Not sure if this is a solution but so far has worked for my Garmin vivosmart that would keep disconnecting.

Go to setting , battery, optimization - set Bluetooth share to not optimized.

How long does it take to disconnect? I haven't had any issues with my car, and I cannot recall any issues with my 360.
