Doesn't matter if branded or not, only Pixel and Nexus phones work on Fi.

Not quite. As long as the SIM is already activated (which DOES require a Nexus or Pixel device) you can use it in any device that supports T-Mobile towers but it will ONLY connect to T-Mobile towers. You may also lose WiFi calling.
