I'm considering getting Nexus 4. There is no ios like backup, and I have to rely on 3rd party app. Most seem need rooting, which I don't want to.
What would be the best way to move my setups and contents if GNexus to Nexus 4?

unfortunatly there isnt any unless you are rooted. thats why i rooted when i got a chance.

google should really update "google backup service" to include this feature on all android phones by providing a desktop app.

I use a program called Nexus Root Toolkit. It helps out with rooting your device and unlocking and flashing your device. Well it has a pretty useful backup program built in it. It backs up your apps, settings, etc. I know that once you restore, you'll only have to sign in your email, facebook, twitter, and what not. I've looked around and found this program from Wondershared. It backups and restores your apps and settings and all that goodness, but once it's all backed up. If you have a lot of applications you have to sign in on each and everyone of them, with the NRT, you'll just have to redownload your purchased apps and emails.
