I cracked the screen on my Galaxy Nexus I9250, so I purchased a replacement part. I installed the screen correctly and the phone worked just as it had before. The color on the new screen was off by a good amount and there was a "Samsung" ghost in the middle of the screen, but it still functioned fine. A few days later, I pulled my phone off the charger and in an hour it was out of battery. Now, the phone is unable to charge and only functions when plugged in. The phone is also very warm. I am sure I replaced the screen properly. What is wrong with my phone?

Have you tried a new battery? Could be your battery is shot. A friend of mine just got 2 Ankers off Amazon for like $20, perhaps try those?

I suspect you got a bad screen. That "ghost" should have been the first clue. It's also possible that during the assembly you "pinched" something that eventually started making a contact and completing a circuit of some sort like grounding the screen. I hate to say this, but start by taking it all apart again. If you can't find anything amiss you may need to return that screen.
