I just purchased a new HTC 10 and every time I send a text message the keyboard goes to the bottom of the screen. I have to open the keyboard backup for every single message after pressing the send button.

Does anyone know if there is a setting to prevent this from happening? In an ideal situation I would like the keyboard to stay open and available for typing.

    Thank you,

Welcome to Android Central! Keyboard apps are designed to appear only when a text field is selected and you're ready to type. After a quick search, I couldn't find any 3rd party keyboards that can do this (I searched for "Android persistent keyboard"). Maybe others might have an idea.
