i need help getting my evo rooted.

i need help. i have no idea where to start. i do know this.........

software version: 3.70.651.1
hardware version: 0003
hboot: 2.10

i want a sick fast(er)evo. can somebody point me in the right direction... or just tell me how. i seriously dont want to screw up my phone.
Can i do this with a macbook?

I have the same Hboot as you and this will be my first time rooting...I'm taking it slow, doing the reading at this point. There are still a few terms that I have no idea what they mean. Hope all goes will for the both of us.
