camera not working?

I just got my EVO today and I am having the same problem. I have even uninstalled ATC, Google Goggles, Barcode Scanner but I still can;t get the Camera working, I have rebooted several times but no luck. This is after the update was done.

Well it was Fring that was causing my issue. Got rid of it 1st and my camera started working.

I put Layar back on and it's all good now.

Something is totally borked with the camera I got it working once, and then it stopped, but most of the time if I launch it right away after a restart it will work at least once.

took some pictures today at the driving range seemed good outside with alot of light.

happened again. im really not happy about this.

I can get the camera working by turning the phone off, let the phone boot up and as soon as the the lock screen shows up immediately launch the camera and it will work, and continue to work until the phone is booted up again (you must repeat the process again.)

The following apps I know use the Camera and could be causing the problem:

1. 3D Compass
2. Coupons
3. Google Googles
4. Fring
5. Barcode Scanner

it seems to me that is is a driver memory issue.

I uninstalled a couple of apps. Removing Fring is what finally fixed mine.

Removed Fring, works now.
