Formatting microsd card on rooted Evo

I'm not finding an answer to my question by searching the forum. I bought a new 16gb micro sd card for my rooted Evo. I'm wondering if I will vaporize my root by formatting and installing a new micro sd card? I was just hoping that someone could give me some advice or direct me to a thread that would assist me. I could be asking the question in the wrong manner. Thank you!

From what I can tell, just install the card as is. The rooted evo should still be able to format it, and you won't loose root.

You can also format it on a pc or mac. It is a FAT32 file system.

Your SD will not hurt your root AT ALL.

Take out your SD and boot up, just to see my point.
