tmobile my touch wont boot

i have a tmobile my touch and i turn it on and it just stays on the screen tmobile mytouch4g i tried to go to the recovery screen when you hold down the power and volume down and home key it goes to the boot screen options and i go to recovery and reset to factory settings it does nothing but freeze can someone please help
