Unable to pick gallery picture for lock screen wallpaper?

I'm trying to change my lock screen wallpaper through settings -> personalize -> lock screen wallpaper

I choose the option for custom wallpaper, and it takes me to my gallery. But when I click on a picture to use, nothing happens. The thumbnail moves like I'm selecting it but nothing happens. I have widget locker installed, but I'm not currently using it. Could that be causing a problem even though it's not activated?

Also these pictures I'm' trying to select are pre-sized to 1080x1920 because I was using them in widget locker.

Any ideas?

Nevermind, I figured it out. The download folder that the pictures were in got deleted for some reason and I didn't see it until after a restart.
