Synced new GMAIL account and lost all my SIM contacts, how can I get them back?

Synced new GMAIL account and lost all my SIM contacts

Hi there,

Got a HTC M7 and just added a new GMAIL account via the GMAIL app.
Then wanted to call someone this morning and all my contacts have disspeared from my SIM & Phone contacts.
How do I get them restored?Thanks

Go to Google Contacts. Click More (on the left side), then Restore contacts. (You'll be sent to the old page, where you have to hit More and Restore contacts again.) Choose the period, then click Restore and your deleted contacts will be back. Sync your phone contacts with Google and you're in business for your Google contacts.

For your SIM contacts, go to Contacts, tap the menu, tap Manage SIM contacts, and import them to your Google account. In the future, add all contacts as Google contacts.

Adding a Gmail account shouldn't have anything to do with existing phone or SIM contacts.

Have you opened the Contacts app and done Menu > Contacts to display?

Did you try to transfer your existing contacts to the Google account and maybe that got mucked up somehow?
