I updated my m8 to the latest Verizon update (with Android 4.4.4 and eye ) 5 1/2 hours ago, and so far I haven't encountered any problems.

I got 4.4.4 a couple of weeks ago, as well as everyone else it seems. I just checked and there's no new updates available for me. So are you still on 4.4.3, or are you saying this is a second 4.4.4 update that just adds the Eye Experience (whatever that is).

We also got the stock file explorer and a flashlight app with the update from a couple weeks ago.

I have the flashlight app on my M8 back when it was running 4.4.2.

Got the file explorer app after updating to 4.4.3

And the 4.4.4 update was the Eye Experience, with updates basically just in the Camera app.

The OP was talking about the Verizon update, which didn't get the flashlight and file explorer until 4.4.4.
