Access content on a broken HTC?

Hello!

I've smashed both the inner and outer screens of my HTC One M9. I am attempting to recover the images/videos and audio files from the phone memory.

I cannot do so as I need type in the password to allow the link to 3rd party programs or to access content on HTC sync manager.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Ideally your content is backed up to your Google account, and your SD card.
Done correctly, you can remove the SD and SIM cards, install them in another phone, boot up and login to Your google account, setup as needed, then discard the broken device.
Maybe, you can recover data from the broken device over PC, if USB debugging(?) was enabled. There might be other ways though. Hopefully somebody else has the answer.
