Sounds like a really solid device. Great specs all round.

Not sure what HTC can do to turn around their financial position. This looks like a solid device, I just don't know what will entice consumers to pick this home up over a Galaxy or iPhone.

With ip68 and an 18:9 screen, does that mean the speakers are going to be on the bottom? I've always liked that htc used good quality front facing speakers.

A 3,420 mAh battery and a more power-hungry LCD screen as opposed to AMOLED doesn't inspire confidence in terms of battery life. The U11+ and the U11 Eyes both have 3,930 mAh batteries, and even with that huge capacity, battery life on the U11+ doesn't live up to expectations. Also, the visibility of the U11+ screen in direct sunlight was rated poor, so I don't know how HTC expects to sell this phone.

But the Snapdragon 845 is supposed to help battery life more than other chips. Maybe that will help with the LCD screen?

Thank you so much for sharing, OP! Pretty decent specs, I must say. Plus a dual camera setup is awesome. Six inches is a little too big for me but I can't wait to hear more about the U12 and to see it in pictures!

I've always loved HTC. I'm excited every year for their new phones. I just get discouraged when i see their hardware lately. I loved the u11+ i wanted it to come to the states so bad. i hope the u12 looks like it.

I'm surprise no one has "leaked" the actual phone yet. with an ETA of next month, HTC is doing a good job keeping it under wraps...

and no, I'm not counting the phone that was shown at the show. since parts of it were hidden.
