I got my Mate 9 as soon as it became available here in the states.

Since day 1, I didn't like how how it took screenshots. I couldn't tell if a screenshot was taken or not. Other phone's screen shakes or you get a pop-up in case you want to edit the picture etc, not this phone, but oh well.

Last week I factory reset it and it seemed like the screenshot feature had been updated. After a screenshot, I would now get a pop-up of the picture with share, edit and I forgot the other option, probably save.

Today, all that is gone and it's back to taking screenshots with no notifications.

Anyone have the updated screenshot feature with edit options? Why did mine go away? Did I enable or disable something?

That's strange- mine has always showed the preview with an option to share. I'm sure that doesn't help!!

I had to factory reset to get it working.nafter one build update, had to pull down 2X to take screenshots and have the edit window popup.

Make sure you are on latest build. B190
Where was it purchased? USA model? Other?

I think I figured it out. If I set the window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animator duration scale to 0, I won't get the pop-up edit options. I need to have it at .5x or 1x.

Oh interesting indeed. This is a good tip for those who mess around with the animation scale.

My screenshot has always worked just two knocks of the screen and it pops up
