When I try to use Google assistant or Gemini on the locked screen it wants me to first unlock the screen, even with these options selected.

If you look at my second picture I selected to allow sending messages or making calls in y the unlocked screen. By default it's designed not to do this things but you can change it in settings to allow it. This worked fine on the fold 6 or my S25UNever mind, it works for actions like turning on the lights, etc., but when I ask to check what my next event is, then it asks me to unlock the phone first.
On asking Gemini why this happens, below is the reason it gave and explains the behavior.
"Why Gemini might require unlocking:
Security Restrictions: For certain actions, especially those involving personal data (like accessing your calendar, specific messages, or sensitive information), Gemini is designed to require you to unlock your phone for security reasons. This prevents unauthorized access to your private information."

They probably broke it adding sticker support or something as useless.Ha good point
Maybe a bug then and hopefully gets fixed.
Mine works while my phone is locked. I press the side key, Gemini pops up and I ask a question. It display and speak the answer. I'm on AT&T.
That's what I'm thinkingWith your phone locked, ask "Hey Google, what's my next event" and see if it works without unlocking the phone.
Because pressing the side key (fingerprint sensor) is probably unlocking the phone anyway.
You're probably unlocking your phone doing that. Also you're not asking for something personal or private such as texting or calling a contact. By default you can't do that stuff on lock screen unless you change the settings like I did shown above.Mine works while my phone is locked. I press the side key, Gemini pops up and I ask a question. The new security update seems to have fixed this, mine is working after update, is yours? With your phone locked, ask "Hey Google, what's my next event" and see if it works without unlocking the phone.

Installed the July 1 security update. It's still the same for me after the update. The new security update seems to have fixed this, mine is working after update, is yours?
Just making sure you have this turned on also.Installed the July 1 security update. It's still the same for me after the update.
