Kizzy Catwoman: "But the main thing I wanted to try this phone for is the cameras. And they do not disappoint. I wouldn't pay £1000 for this phone without running official gapps, as I am deep into Google ecosystem. But the cameras are pretty special, especially after using a Samsung S10+ for the last 6 months. I love my Samsung but the cameras are not on a par with these by far."
Me, too. I have an Acer Chromebook and Google Home Minis scattered around and love the integration. But, I also love taking photos. Yesterday I almost called my nephew, who has my p30 pro, and told him he was getting a p40 pro and I want my p30 pro back but I didn't.
My biggest loss is Messages on the Web so I can do text messaging from the Chromebook. My short, stubby fingers don't type on a phone. I'm also too hard of hearing to use a phone to listen. I'm older than most trees.
So, I have icons linking to websites for Google Calendar, Google Contacts, and Google Keep and they sync with those apps on my Chromebook. I have a Google Maps app on the Huawei phone and it works fine but it won't let me login so it isn't tracking me. I also have an icon linking to the Google Photos website. How well it work seems to vary. Google seems to be aggressively addressing the anti-Huawei issue.
I don't do games or social media on either my phone or my chromebook.
So, I'm struggling but so far, so good. I'm enjoying the camera.
