Why does the android YouTube app not show how many likes a comment got?

I only see this on the iPhone YouTube app, is there a way to turn that feature on?

It is not possible to like/dislike comments from the youtube app for android. I assume that means you cannot see the number of likes either. On iOS you can like, but not dislike, apparently. Here's a screenshot from the Google help page on that subject:
