How to block sponsor ads in YouTube

Many of us who have YouTube Premium subscriptions are annoyed by sponsor ads that show up in YouTube videos from many channels. There is no way to block these sponsor ads in the YouTube app, but there is a way to block them using the Firefox browser app.

Here is what you'll need to do.

1. Install Firefox from Google Play Store.

2. Install the SponsorBlock extension from Firefox Add Ons and turn it on.

3. Go to m.youtube.com in Firefox.

4. Sign in to your Google account if you have not already done so.

5. Watch YouTube videos without sponsor ads.

To be honest, I find it pretty straightforward to seek past that ad within the video as well.

To be honest, I find it pretty straightforward to seek past that ad within the video as well.

It's not difficult usually, but there are videos that insert sponsor ads multiple times in the same video. Those are especially annoying.

Ah, good point! I've only encountered videos with just one ad.

Open YouTube app and start the video you want to watch. Tap the Share button. Select AdGuard from the list of apps, That's it! A new window with the video will open where you'll be able to watch it without being interrupted by ads.
