Hi, I wanted to transfer a folder (in this case WhatsApp - Media - WhatsApp Images - Sent) to my computer, but somehow the newest images are missing (in fact it shows 5512 files on my computer instead of the 5527 files that my fairphone is showing).

I copied the folder to another place, my file explorer on my fairphone directly showed 5527 files, my computer only showed 500 first, then after a minute 501, after two mins 502 and so on…

What’s causing this problem? How can I solve it? I even tried it with a Windows 7 and Linux KDE Neon computer. It’s the same problem…

Phone is a Fairphone 2 on Android 6.0.1

USB can be funny that way - if the USB chip (at either end - the PC or the phone) overheats - which it will moving 5000 files - it slows down to keep from destroying itself. WAY down. What should take a millisecond to transfer takes many seconds - 10,000 times as long. All you can do is start the transfer and wait until it finishes - which might be longer than overnight. (Or zip the files [in the phone - install a zip app], upload the zip file to a cloud account, download it from the cloud account with the PC, then unzip it into individual files.)

Thank you for your answer, but it's not the tranfer, it's before. I can only see 5512 files on Windows and Linux, while the phone shows 5527.

The newest files are missing. Somehow after a while when there are for example 5550 files in the folder, Windows and Linux show 535 files. So they are not damaged, they are just invisble on my Computer in the first days?
