How do I delete US Holidays from my calendar (LG Escape 2)? Thanks!

There is no delete button / trash can icon on the factory set calendar entries so I cannot delete these unnecessary reminders that take up valuable space. If anyone knows the secret "code", please pass this information along, and I will be grateful to you.

Welcome to Android Central! See if you can unsync the Holidays calendar. Open the Calendar app, tap Menu, and look for an option where you can select which of your calendars to sync. If you see a Holidays calendar, tap it to turn off its sync.

Thank you! How very simple. It worked like a charm, and now I have plenty of space to put in all my entries. One of these days I'm going to get the hang of this phone. Of course, then it'll be time to upgrade and start all over again!
