How to make my LG GPad act as a LG G5

I had an LG G5, loved it! However I don't have it anymore. I do however have an LG G pad 7.0. I logged my google account on it and re downloaded my apps I had, but then realized that the apps don't function the same and lost some features. I have been reading up on rooting and installing custom roms, but my question is, is it possible in any way, to make my Tablet just like a phone? I know I can't physically make calls and text, but have all the same firmware and applications that my LG G5 had?
