Is there a way to safely (properly) root the D800 with a Mac?
People have reported towelroot is working on many G2 variants, it doesn't require a computer.

Otherwise you will have to install ADB, then go to the ioroot thread and follow the manual directions (I think they are there with the files needed). It requires a pretty solid knowledge of using the terminal (command line) and adb/fastboot.

I learned how to use the terminal's adb commands for installing roms onto TWRP, but that's it. Maybe i'll do some reading on the subject. Thanks.:p
