This is really a very expensive hobby.

Ok new to to this Android stuff. So why do I want this?

It's only useful if you travel to avoid Roaming fees. It also makes it easier to sell, like my S5 which I also paid to unlock.

My G3 is Bell and unlocked so I can use AT&T's $2 a day pre-paid when I go to the US.
