Big problems with music organization!

I've had my G4 for about a week now and a love it, except for one huge problem!

About 70% of the music that I have transferred to the phone does not automatically organize itself. The albums do not have artwork, the tracks are listed in alphabetical order, and sometimes tracks get moved to an 'unknown artist' folder.

Before I bought my G4, I was using an HTC One M7. The default music app on this phone worked great. When I moved my music to the HTC phone everything organized as it should. It's these same files that will not organize on the LG phone.

I started using an app called 'MP3dit' to change the file tags and song order, but I quickly realized that this would take many hours.

Any suggestions? Anyone know why everything was so smooth with the HTC One, but not with my new G4?

Not sure why it worked better on the HTC, but you can do it on desktop much faster with the program 'Mp3tag'. You can at least change the tags and apply album art on whole albums rather than song by song (if that's only what your app does). It's a very easy program to use, a simple drag and drop from your phone's music folder into the program. It can definitely be a tedious process, had to go through it in the past as well.

Thanks! That program seems to fix the problem, it's still time consuming though. I wish it just worked like my last phone, but oh well.

I would suggest using Poweramp music app since it does a lot of that for you. There is a 7 day free trial and then you can decide to pay or not.

All my legally bought music from iTunes or Google Play seems to be perfect as far as tags go. Only time I run into this is from "other" sources.
