Question Does anyone have any experiences with Samsung's mail-in warranty service?

So here's the story. I got a brand new Galaxy A36 5G for an absolute steal (Like $150 off), complete with warranty and everything from a guy on eBay. (I even have the original receipt.) But a few days after getting it I noticed some weird bits on the plastic around the uppermost camera lens. I can't really determine if it's actually debris or just rough bits of plastic along the edge of the camera but it's annoying as sin. (Note, this does not impact photos and is not on the glass either, it's actually on the very edge of the plastic shroud.)

Samsung has agreed to let me send it in, but I'm second guessing myself. A long time ago Apple removed the screen protector and scratched the screen of my iPhone SE when I sent it in for a battery replacement, and I'm worried something similar might happen here. The phone, besides this issue, is pristine and I know I'd be super upset if it came back damaged.

Anyone have any experiences with Samsung warranty repairs? Is it worth even doing something for a non-functional issue such as this? Am I likely to get it back in worse shape than I sent it in?

Lots of questions, I know, but I'm very conflicted.
