Somehow the smartshare apps triggered and drained my battery... I saw the low battery, used gsam to diagnose, and then disabled the apps.

Easy enough to solve, I just wanted to share in case others suffer from sudden battery drain.

Can you unpack this a little more for me please? Where do you check for smartshare and how do you disable if needed? ty

Sorry for the late reply on this.

Go to settings -> apps -> all. I've disabled all the "SmartShare" pieces (there are 4 of them.)

I've started using gsam a while back to keep an eye on battery use on MM. As it turns out, none of the smartshare services take any appreciable CPU time on my phone, so I'm leaving them enabled. Thanks for the heads-up!

I was a bit shocked when smartshare took over that one day... I've been using gsam as well, and never noticed it at all. I still don't know what triggered it, but I'm not going to wait till it happens again to find out ;)
