I know odd question but after my recent experience with the atrocious HTC customer service. I am sending my 100% perfect 10 back because the thought of calling them ever again is too much to bear.

I'm asking because the G5 was my other choice for a phone. I plan on getting it unlocked so I will be dealing with lg and not a carrier should an issue arise.

I'm ready to leave LG because of their CS.

I got the G5 first day to take advantage of the 360 cam. Well, my camera arrived DOA and CS at LG strung me along for a week as no one could tell me how to fix it / whether they'd replace it.

Finally, after 2 hours on the phone (I really wanted that camera :) they finally told me that they don't warranty promo items. My question in return: then what's to guarantee quality control? What's to stop you from sending out crappy cameras, batteries, etc.

The representative's answer: that's your problem.

Seriously.

When I had an issue with my G3, I went to LG's website and sent them an email. The next morning, I got a very polite response. They were prompt and I didn't have to wait around for answers. Customer service, like any kind of personal relations job, can have some rotten apples in any company; but I think LG is overall pretty good for customer service. We have LG products at home and as far as I know, we've never had issues.

I have an LG Fridge freezer that broke after 5 years. I knew it only came with a 1 year warranty, but phoned up LG merely to ask if they could recommend a company to repair it. To my amazement they not only put me in touch with someone who sorted it out, they paid half the cost as it was less than 5 years old. That's my only experience with them, and it was very good.

EDIT: As recommended by Morty on another thread (Thanks :) ), I just emailed LG about my water damaged phone and how I can get a repair estimate for my insurance company. I have a reply less than 5 minutes later from them, saying how sorry they are this has happened to me, and with the name and phone number of a company that can help me. That's pretty damn good I would say.
